After studying the greatest statistical mind in the last 2000 years: Dr. W. Edwards Deming; the optimization expert and quality aficionado we ignore who improved our world in so many ways…
I feel like Galileo after he discovered the moons on Jupiter. (Even with solid evidence, it still took 100 years to convince the world that we were not the center of the universe.) How do you convey the obvious? How else can I say it:
“Business as usual” pisses me off:
It breaks my heart knowing how poorly employees are treated… How we cut corners because our longest-term thinking is the end of this quarter… How our best efforts and intentions are driving the Western world to ruin… The biggest problem I want to solve:
Human Flourishing: (Not how it is.) How it could be! Starting in the workplace:
If you are an Employer: Instead of squandering your human capital, how ‘bout we unleash it already? Or do you fear Innovation? Our biggest hurdle:
Your belief system. Your biases and blind spots. Don’t fret: It is not your fault! Our brains are wired to accept only what is familiar to us. Still, I lack patience:
Rather than convince you to suddenly Trust and Empower your Employees,
Sell me your business. Let me take operational control. Otherwise,
Just know: QUALITY CANNOT BE DELEGATED.
